Cf. Yuchi yaše (GW). Catawba/Yuchi similarity may be due to borrowing, but the meaning is rather basic. Ofo should show aspiration in the accented syllable. The term is limited to the SE. Pre-Proto-Biloxi-Ofo could be either *ayú•si or *wa-yú•si, since both Biloxi and Ofo lose initial labial resonants.
